First trip to Epcot

Azalea went to Epcot for the first time yesterday.  She got the meet Beauty and the Beast and Mulan, too!  I fed her a bottle in China, then we stopped inside the shop to go shopping.  There's a whole section devoted to pandas. Azalea's favorite movie is Kung Fu Panda.  She went ecstatic when she saw all the pandas.

She got fussy when it was time for her afternoon nap, so I took her on a slow-moving boat ride.  She fell fast asleep in my arms.

Living in Florida

Azalea took her first trip to Florida last week.  Brian and I both got jobs here. Brian is working at the Three Broomsticks restaurant at the Harry Potter world at Universal Studios. I'm going to work at Port Orleans starting in December.  We sold most of our furniture and packed the rest in our car and drove down to Orlando.

 Azalea got to meet her great-grandmother who lives in the woods. We saw silver foxes, cranes and even a bear!

Power outage

Azalea and I were awakened at 5:30 am by an incredibly loud explosion. Then the whole house went dark.  I leave the Dvd player and the kitchen light on because it comforts her.  So the first thing I did was set the cell phone alarm to 6:20 so Brian could wake up for work. 

Azalea was crying because the loudness of the explosion and the darkness were scaring her. But luckily I had bought a music box that played rainforest sounds that she really likes, so I held her and played the music box.  Then the alarm went off and Brian woke up.  I don't know how a small cell phone alarm wakes him up but not a loud explosion.  I asked him about him and he seriously didn't hear it.

We found out that a transformer had blown and we would be without power all day.  It got really hot in our house so Azalea and I spent the afternoon at Brian's office. Thankfully the power was back on by the time we got home.

Restless

So Azalea hasn't slept all week. I took her to the doctors and he gave me a non-milk formula which is supposed to help with gas and stuff. I really hope it works because she's been having a lot of problems.  So far the new formula is starting to work and she is sleeping soundly on my lap.  Brian made spicy enchiladas today and they are delicious!

2 week checkup

Today I took Azalea to her 2 week checkup.  She got a blood test done by a student nurse, and was screaming the whole time. She was so mad she peed on her. Ha! She also got her hearing checked and both ears are fine. She eats more food and little snacks in between her scheduled meal times and now she weighs 5 lbs 9 oz. 

Sunday Date Night

Yesterday I watched the Auburn game live on my computer. Of course I had to switch to a low quality video because my poor little netbook just can't handle the high quality stuff.  Today was spent playing with Azalea who still refuses to sleep and then Brian took over and I made flautas. Yay flautas! We rented the movie Date Night and we're going to watch it while we eat.  Azalea can now pick up her head with ease and smiles every time I smile at her.

Citizenship.

Today Azalea got her social security card. So now she is officially a citizen.  Now if only I could get her to sleep for longer than 20 minutes.
